A little something something that I really do love is a good bit of toast smothered in peanut butter, add a piece of fruit and you have a quick and more importantly, balanced breakfast! I usually just pick up any old peanut butter because if I am totally honest it is not my go-to when it comes to breakfast, but when I want peanut butter I need peanut butter! It is useful for a lot of quick and easy snacks and to throw into my baking creations, I would go so far as to say that it is pretty much a pantry essential.
Where did I find it? Darren and I were doing our favourite thing this weekend...shopping around at Dis-chem, when we stumbled across the Eat Naked shelf. If you know Darren and I you will know that we are suckers for cute packaging, good fonts and fancy lookin' stuff. We are both in the design/trend realm so I guess we have programmed ourselves this way. I squeaked, grabbed this tube of peanut butter and I started scouring the back for details. Not only was I surprised to find that there were only three ingredients - Peanuts, honey & sea salt, but Eat Naked is a local product, YAY! It was basically already sold. I mean let's be honest, it meets my peanut butter rules right? I was at a store and I was just "picking it up".
How is it? It is deliciously smooth and creamy with a hint of sweetness from the honey. It comes in a nifty little 230g tube which makes for zero wastage and really easy use - especially for squeezing into dates and onto apples slices and other snacks. Just give it a quick shake before you squeeze it out and use it within 3 months of opening...which isn't going to be hard because it is totally naked health.
Will I re-buy it? 100% yes. Okay yes I love things in my kitchen to look cute, but I cannot express how handy having peanut butter in a tube is! You will see. Pop on over to Dis-chem and get yourself a tube, for R36ish it isn't badly priced for something so beautiful and delicious.
